Diary

Have recently had fun recording a new song called keep on loving you. It's a bit of a different song for me as it has quite an edgy European club sound. It's more serious than some of my other songs & quite sophisticated with a bit of 80's electronica thrown in for good measure. I'm starting to feel more confident with how my songs are starting to turn out like.

Had a brilliant day as I recorded a brand new song called If you were mine in the studio. For the first time, the sun was shining & it was quite hot! It was quite appropriate really as the song is a summery pop dance tune with an 80's funky disco feel to it. It really seems to suit my voice as I delivered it quite softly so it sounds quite laid back. I had been quite anxious beforehand as I've been struggling with a virus for a couple of months & kept getting flu symptoms & a sore throat. I'm sure the bad weather we'd been having must have had something to do with it. I'd been feeling quite washed out only last week so it all couldn't have gone any better really. I'm hoping people will like it as I'm really pleased with

the end result.

I recorded my first ballad today called Miss You which is a more acoustic number than the previous 2 songs. It was harder to write than the uptempo songs and more difficult to sing. I was having problems about where to pitch my voice and I also kept singing too fast as I wasn't listening to the music properly which I put down to nerves and the fact that I was more used to singing faster songs. Hopefully my persistance has paid off as I got there in the end!
